WebMar 1, 2015 · With the harness made up I could plug the aftermarket heating pads into the Ford control relay. Jumper harness made up complete with wire loom. Harness all hooked up. Now re-assemble everything. Put the seat base back on, hook up all the un-pluged wires, put the side plastic back on and and seat controls. Pretty straight forward, but the hog tie clips for the upholstery were a pain. I discovered that the old element burned through the felt where it failed on the wire between the bun and thigh. WebDec 23, 2011 · I spread the hog rings with a pair of needle nose pliers. There was a burn spot in the element. I cut off the end of the wire on both sides of the burn. I soldered a piece of similar sized wire into place and put everything back together. Put the seat back. I then did, basically, the same thing to the passenger side.
