I was using SilverStars and those things would blow out every 3-6 months so I quit using them. I also have had a few times where the bulb wasn't actually blown out, but wasn't getting a good ground connection via that springy wire jobby that … WebHonda CR-V headlight keeps blowing. WebOct 24, 2007 · 1. Throw out the new, melted regulator. 2. Reinstall the OEM regulator that may be just fine after all. I have reason to believe so. 3. Leave all the current connections intact but add an additional ground strap between the metal part of the regulator and the engine, somewhere that there is no question it's grounded. When switching around the bulbs I pinched low beam wires with metal clip exposing them which in turn touched the back of the bulb causing fuses to be blown. I taped the wires and moved them out of metal clip's way, replaced blown fuses and this is what I have now: DRLs started working but right one is …
